Unique Baby Gift Baskets

Here are some great ideas for unique baby gift baskets:

· New Mom's Survival Kit

Fill it with hand sanitizer, the phone number and web site for the Consumer Product Safety Commission, menus and coupons for three nearby takeout restaurants, and a certificate for one good night's sleep during which you babysit.

· Colic Relief Gift Basket
Put in a soft baby blanket or lovey (stuffed animal), a white noise CD (vacuum sounds are great; so are soothing ocean sounds), ear plugs (for mom and dad), and a Miracle Blanket for easy swaddling. Is that a unique baby gift basket or what?

· Remembering the Moment
Get a copy of the local newspaper from the day the baby was born, a postage stamp, and copies of Time and People magazines from the week the baby was born and package them with a scrapbook, baby book, or a Classic Pooh keepsake box.
When the baby grows up, she'll have fun looking back at the headlines, weather, popular movies and cost of things when she was born.

· 100 Wishes and Kisses

This one's not exactly a unique baby gift basket, but it is a unique baby gift.
Remember the story of Sleeping Beauty, where the seven fairies give the princess gifts of kindness, grace, beauty, etc.? You can do the same thing for the new mom.
Get a pretty clear glass jar and fill it with 50 Hershey kisses and 50 slips of paper (the size of a fortune in a fortune cookie). Write your wishes for the baby on the slips of paper.
They can be funny, sweet or sentimental. Some ideas:
"May you experience the joy of finger-painting -- at someone else's house."
"May you learn a valuable lesson from every disappointment life hands you."
"May you have a best friend when you're 80."
"May you master the art of wiping, flushing and washing your hands before kindergarten."
"May you grow to savor and appreciate the taste of a fine wine, a good steak and a beautiful song."

· Nursing Survival Kit
Fill it with breast pads, Lansinoh cream, tea bags, frozen peas (to ease nursing soreness), and a copy of The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding.

Swag Window Treatments
Create beautiful lines in your rooms with swag window treatments.
